For over a decade, I was trapped in the grind of work.
Hi — I’m Amelia. I’m a Master Certified Life Coach, Columbia MBA & former Wall Street investment banker & Fortune 500 consultant.
For over a decade, work was a never-ending cycle of 80+ hour weeks, client fire drills and a calendar so full of meetings I barely had time for a bathroom break.
To my colleagues, friends and family on the outside, things looked like they were going great — a kickass career at a prestigious firm (check), multiple six-figure salary (check), Ivy League degree (check). But on the inside, I felt miserable.
The truth was, my career needed a serious ‘Pls fix.’
I was letting my job (and my inbox) control my life.
I was beating myself up for any little mistake I made at work.
I was constantly doubting whether I was good enough.
I was second guessing my decisions.
And I dreaded going to work everyday.
Despite the consistent glowing performance reviews and top bucket bonuses, the way I was achieving success in my career was unsustainable. I felt overworked and overwhelmed, and I kept working more to and avoid feeling that way and stay successful.
I knew I needed to make a change. I wanted to stop running myself into the ground. But what I didn’t know is why it felt so damn hard to do — or even where to start.
Success doesn’t have to feel like a rat race.
I felt miserable was because I was overworking — spending more time & energy than was necessary to achieve what I wanted in my career.
Overworking wasn’t caused by what I was doing at work. It was caused by how I was feeling every day at my job: stressed, overwhelmed, unconfident and out of control.
And these feelings weren’t caused by my clients, the 80-hour work weeks, my MD or my inbox. They were caused by my mindset — how I was thinking about myself, my career and everything that was going on around me.
I’ve been there. I get it. And I can help.
Breaking free from the grind of your career in business or finance starts with changing how you think about work.
I learned how to stop overworking and create sustainable success in my career by developing the mindset I needed to break free from long-held patterns of overachieving, perfectionism, people pleasing, impostor syndrome and overthinking.

Why I love working with my clients
I love working with my clients. They are smart, driven and talented. They have big goals for themselves, and they want to build careers and lives they are deeply passionate about.
My clients hold themselves to high standards, and when they commit to something they want — they go all-in even when it feels scary or the path seems unclear because they know they are meant for something more.
My clients know work shouldn’t feel the way it does now. And they’re ready to invest in themselves to make the changes they need to break free from the grind of their careers and create a life they love, for good.
